Musashi Japanese Fusion is seeking a dependable and experienced Line Cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate is passionate about quality food, works well in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in consistency, cleanliness, and presentation.

Experience with Japanese cuisine is strongly preferred, especially ramen, tempura, donburi, teppanyaki, sauces, and Japanese-style food preparation.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook menu items according to Musashi s recipes and presentation standards
  
• Set up and maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked station
  
• Follow proper recipes, portions, cooking times, and plating procedures
  
• Assist with ingredient preparation, sauces, marinades, and daily prep
  
• Coordinate with kitchen and sushi team members to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time
  
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, labeling, and storage requirements
  
• Monitor product freshness and report low inventory or quality concerns
  
• Minimize food waste and properly rotate ingredients using FIFO procedures
  
• Help with opening, closing, and general kitchen cleaning duties
  
• Remain calm, professional, and efficient during busy shifts
  

Qualifications:

• Previous line cook or professional kitchen experience preferred
  
• Japanese restaurant or Japanese cuisine experience is a strong plus
  
• Basic knife skills and knowledge of proper food-handling procedures
  
• Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent food quality
  
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
  
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn
  
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  
• Food Handler Certification required or must be obtained upon hire
