Responsibilities include:
Prepare and cook menu items according to Shiraz recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines
Read and follow tickets accurately during service
Set up, stock, and maintain your station before, during, and after service
Weigh, measure, cut, portion, and prepare ingredients according to recipe specifications
Prepare meats, vegetables, sauces, marinades, rice, sides, and other menu items as directed
Cook and plate dishes with attention to quality, timing, portioning, and presentation
Follow prep lists and complete assigned prep tasks
Maintain proper food rotation, labeling, dating, storage, and freshness standards
Keep your workstation clean, organized, stocked, and sanitary throughout the shift
Follow all food safety, handwashing, hygiene, allergy, and sanitation guidelines
Operate kitchen equipment safely and properly
Communicate food, supply, or equipment shortages to the Chef, Manager, or shift lead
Assist with receiving and storing deliveries as needed
Restock or break down your station depending on the shift
Communicate clearly with the next shift or team members as needed
Help maintain a safe, clean, and efficient kitchen environment
Support other kitchen team members when needed
Qualifications:
Previous line cook or restaurant kitchen experience preferred
Persian, Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, steakhouse, grill, or high-volume restaurant experience is a plus
Ability to work quickly and with a strong sense of urgency
Ability to follow recipes, directions, tickets, and kitchen standards
Strong attention to detail and consistency
Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment
Reliable, punctual, and professional
Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
Able to stay organized and focused under pressure
Able to stand for long periods of time
Able to bend, lift, carry, push, and move items as needed
Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs when necessary
Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Your station is stocked, clean, organized, and ready before service
Food is prepared consistently and according to Shiraz standards
Orders are completed accurately, efficiently, and on time
Plates are presented with care and attention to detail
Food safety and sanitation standards are consistently followed
You communicate clearly with the kitchen team and management
You work with urgency, pride, and a team-first attitude
