Position Summary

The Sea Pines Resort is seeking passionate and motivated Line Cooks to join our culinary team. This position is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items to established recipes and quality standards while supporting dining venues across the resort. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, detail-focused, and committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepare food items according to recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards.
  • Set up and stock assigned workstations with all necessary supplies.
  • Cook, grill, sauté, fry, bake, and prepare menu items in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation throughout each shift.
  • Ensure food quality, freshness, and consistency meet resort standards.
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper food handling procedures.
  • Assist with inventory control, product rotation, and minimizing food waste.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
  • Support multiple resort dining outlets as business needs require.
  • Perform opening, closing, and side work duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Previous line cook or culinary experience preferred (1-year)
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
  • Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work in hot, cold, and fast-paced kitchen environments.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions.
