About the Position

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items while providing exceptional customer service in Power Design's food truck. This role is hands-on throughout the entire guest experience—from taking customer orders and preparing fresh meals to serving food and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. The Line Cook plays an important role in delivering high-quality food, efficient service, and a welcoming experience for every guest.

Position Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards.
  • Take customer orders, process transactions, and serve food and beverages in a friendly, professional manner.
  • Operate efficiently in a fast-paced food truck environment while maintaining excellent customer service.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation at all times by following all food handling, storage, sanitation, and safety procedures.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate prep or restocking needs.
  • Assist with food preparation, stocking, opening, and closing duties.
  • Ensure consistent food quality, presentation, and portion control.
  • Assist with Power Design events and catering functions as needed.
  • Perform routine clerical duties in support of daily café operations, as assigned.

Here's What We're Looking For

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a line cook in a fast-paced food service environment.
  • Experience working in a café, food truck, quick-service restaurant, or similar customer-facing food operation preferred.
  • Knowledge of health department standards and food safety regulations.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills with a friendly, positive attitude.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently during busy service periods.
  • Self-motivated individual with a passion for quality food, hospitality, and professionalism.
