Line Cook

Tin Roost in North Liberty is hiring part-time Line Cooks to join our Back of House team!

We're looking for reliable, hardworking individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced kitchen and being part of a team. As a Line Cook, you'll play an important role in preparing quality food, keeping your station running efficiently, and helping deliver a great dining experience for our guests.

Tin Roost is a locally owned restaurant known for American comfort food made with fresh ingredients and a scratch-kitchen approach. Our menu features smoked meats, burgers, breaded tenderloins, cheese curds, fresh salads, and more. Between our spacious dining room, private events, and large outdoor patio, our kitchen offers a busy environment where you can build your skills and gain valuable experience.

Compensation

$15 - $22 per hour, depending on experience.

Hours & Availability

• Full-time position
• Weekday availability required

What You'll Be Doing

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and kitchen standards
• Set up and maintain a clean, stocked, and organized cooking station
• Manage orders during service while maintaining consistency and food quality
• Complete daily food prep and restock ingredients as needed
• Follow proper food storage, labeling, and rotation procedures
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen
• Follow established food safety and handling guidelines
• Work closely with kitchen teammates and managers to keep service running efficiently
• Assist with prep work, inventory, and other kitchen responsibilities
• Perform additional duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Previous line cook or restaurant kitchen experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment
• Dependable with a strong work ethic and consistent attendance
• Positive attitude and ability to work well with others
• Willingness to learn, follow directions, and improve cooking skills
• Ability to stand and remain active throughout scheduled shifts
• Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 40 pounds
