Job Title: Line CookLocation: Rita's on the River, San Antonio, TXHours: Full-time or Part-time (Closed on Sundays)Overview:Rita's on the River is seeking experienced and passionate Line Cooks to join our culinary team! As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality Tex-Mex dishes while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. You will play a key role in ensuring our guests have an exceptional dining experience in our vibrant restaurant on the River Walk.Key Responsibilities:Prepare and cook menu items according to Ritas recipes, portion standards, and quality guidelines.Ensure that all food is made to order and served in a timely manner.Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation throughout the shift.Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.Properly handle, store, and rotate food items to maintain freshness and quality.Follow all safety and sanitation policies in accordance with health regulations and company standards.Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties, including prepping ingredients and cleaning equipment.Communicate effectively with the front-of-house staff to ensure accuracy and guest satisfaction.Qualifications:Previous experience as a line cook in a fast-paced kitchen is preferred.Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations.Ability to work efficiently under pressure and multitask in a busy kitchen environment.Excellent teamwork and communication skills.Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.Must have a Food Handler's Certification (or be willing to obtain it).Availability to work Monday through Saturday (Rita's is closed on Sundays).Experience with Tex-Mex cuisine is a plus.Benefits:Competitive hourly pay based on experience.Employee discounts on food and beverages.Flexible scheduling.Opportunity to work in a lively, high-energy kitchen on the San Antonio River Walk.If youre passionate about cooking and thrive in a fast-paced environment, wed love to have you on our team at Ritas on the River!
