Job Overview: A fine dining line cook is responsible for preparing high-quality dishes with precision, consistency, and attention to detail in a fast-paced, upscale kitchen. You’ll work closely with chefs to execute menu items to exact standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of your station.
Follow strict food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Assist with prep work (cutting, portioning, sauces, etc.).
Communicate effectively with kitchen staff during service.
Ensure proper plating and portion control.
Help manage inventory and minimize waste.
Requirements:
Previous experience in a fine dining or high-volume kitchen preferred.
Strong knife skills and knowledge of cooking techniques.
Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards.
Team-oriented mindset and strong communication skills.
Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with classical techniques (French cuisine, sauces, plating).
