Job Description: The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a love for cooking, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in preparing and presenting dishes that delight our members and guests. You must be 18 years of age or over to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards.
- Ensure food quality, presentation, and portion control meet the club’s high standards.
- Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following all sanitation and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and execute daily specials and seasonal menus.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to the kitchen manager.
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or Kitchen Manager.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a cook in a restaurant, hotel, or country club setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques, cuisines, and kitchen equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
- Food handler’s certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Be 18 years old or over.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
