About Us
The Park at 14th is a high-design, multi-level dining and entertainment destination in the heart of downtown DC, overlooking historic Franklin Park. Our kitchen serves elevated American classics with bold Caribbean flavors in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. We're looking for a dependable, passionate Line Cook to join our culinary team.
The Role
As a Line Cook, you'll prepare and plate dishes to our standards during dinner, brunch, and late-night service. You'll own a station, work cleanly under pressure, and help keep our kitchen running smoothly through busy rushes.
What You'll Do
- Set up, stock, and break down your assigned station for each service
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items to recipe and presentation standards
- Work the line efficiently during high-volume dinner, brunch, and late-night shifts
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace at all times
- Follow all food safety, health code, and portion-control guidelines
- Communicate clearly with the kitchen team and expediter during service
What We're Looking For
- 1–2 years of experience as a line cook or in a similar kitchen role
- Comfortable working a station in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
- Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, knife skills, and food safety
- Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Food Handler's certification a plus (or willingness to obtain)
