About the OpportunityDoherty Staffing Solutions is hiring Line Operators for a fishing line manufacturing company in Spirit Lake, Iowa. In this role, you'll help produce high-quality fishing line products by operating and monitoring spooler equipment throughout the manufacturing process. What You'll Do as a Line Operator:- Operate and monitor multiple spooler machines to maintain continuous production
- Set up and adjust spoolers and level wind mechanisms as needed
- Load supply spools into hopper loaders and position materials for production runs
- Verify correct fishing line, materials, and product weights for each order
- Enter production data into the computer and stage finished products for the next process step
- Maintain machine speeds and return empty supply spools to designated storage areas
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe while supporting continuous improvement efforts
What You Need to Bring to the Line Operator Role:- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Entry-level candidates welcome; 1-3 months of manufacturing experience is helpful
- Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to make minor machine adjustments
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and weight calculations
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform light physical work throughout the shift
- Ability to work independently while maintaining quality and productivity standards
