We have need of senior Linux System Administration support, with skills in the following areas RedHat/CentOS & Ubuntu system administration Major and minor OS upgrade Scripting languages, including bash and Python Ansible automation Git repository management VMware/deployment methods Physical server maintenance, include iDRAC Implementing system security best practices Authentication protocols/methods including KRB, SSSD, A/D, LDAP Proficient written and verbal communicationOn specified RedHat/CentOS and Ubuntu servers and desktops: plan, execute document and share methodsContractor Tasksi. Individual Systems Update (100+ Systems)1. Securitya. Uninstall FireEye HX agentb. Install/configure M.S. Defenderc. Review/implement 3rd party recommendations2. Scheduled jobs analysis3. Validate/analyze boot files (inittab, systemd, rc.x)4. Compare /home to passwd file5. Review/convert chronyd configurationsii. Migrate Ubuntu Desktops to current version (10 Systems)iii. Upgrade/migrate Linux servers to latest OS (10 Systems)iv. Ansible bash-to-yaml conversionv. Review/Improve logging (syslog-ng)vi. Review A/D integration (Kerberos with SSSD; LDAPS; OUs)vii.
