Linux/GitLab Administrator

Position Overview

Rothe is seeking a hands-on Linux Administrator with strong GitLab administration experience to operate, secure, and evolve enterprise platforms supporting NASA JSC’s mission-enabling applications.

Key Responsibilities

Administer, secure, and maintain Linux-based systems.
Manage GitLab infrastructure including upgrades, CI/CD pipelines, runners, and integrations.
Implement system hardening, patch management, access controls, and compliance baselines.
Automate system tasks using shell scripting, Ansible, or similar tools.
Perform monitoring, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis for platform reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams across NASA JSC operations.

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years Linux systems administration experience.
Experience managing GitLab in enterprise environments.
Proficiency with automation tools (Ansible/Terraform).
Strong knowledge of CI/CD concepts, pipelines, and runners.
Experience with security hardening and compliance requirements.
Must be able to attain and maintain a NASA Level of Confidence (LoC) of 50, which is based on identity proofing, background checks, and investigation. This is a condition of employment.

Position Details:

This is an on-site position at a government facility
