Litigation Paralegal

Location: Orange County, CA

Work Schedule: Fully Onsite

Compensation: $85,280-$115,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications

LHH is conducting a search on behalf of a reputable law firm seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join its Orange County office. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned litigation professional who thrives in a collaborative law firm environment and enjoys supporting cases through all phases of litigation and trial preparation.

Overview

The Litigation Paralegal will play a critical role in supporting attorneys throughout the litigation lifecycle, from case inception through trial. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of California civil litigation procedures, exceptional organizational skills, and experience managing discovery, document productions, trial preparation, and case deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Draft shell pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and legal memoranda.

  • Assist with all aspects of trial preparation, including exhibits, witness materials, and courthouse logistics.

  • Conduct legal research and cite checking.

  • Manage document productions, including document review, Bates labeling, redactions, indexing, and privilege logs.

  • Organize and analyze discovery materials.

  • Maintain case calendars and monitor critical deadlines.

  • Track court filings, docket activity, and notifications.

  • Support attorneys with case management and litigation support functions.

  • Prepare and submit prebills and record billable time.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of litigation paralegal experience in a law firm environment.

  • Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program.

  • Strong understanding of California civil procedure and litigation practices.

  • Experience with e-discovery platforms, document review tools, and legal research resources REQUIRED.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and legal case management systems.

  • Experience supporting trial preparation and complex litigation matters REQUIRED

  • Business litigation experience preferred.

  • Notary Public certification is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hourly rate: $41.00- $55.30

  • Equivalent annual salary range: $85,280-$115,000

California Pay Transparency Notice: The anticipated compensation range for this position is $41.00-$55.30 per hour ($85,280-$115,000 annually). Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, skills, and other job-related factors.
