Location: Seattle, WA
Experience: 8–12 Years
Our client, a premier national multi-disciplinary law firm, is seeking a seasoned Litigation Counsel to join their Seattle office. This role is designed for a high-level practitioner who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses the rare ability to provide "business-friendly" legal advice while maintaining a rigorous litigation strategy.
We are looking for a hands-on leader—someone who excels at running cases from inception through trial and prefers to stay "in the weeds" of complex legal challenges rather than merely delegating.
Primary Case Ownership: Independently manage and lead complex commercial litigation matters with minimal oversight.
Specialized Advocacy: Drive strategy and execution in Insurance Bad Faith and Coverage Litigation (highly preferred).
Courtroom Leadership: Serve as first-chair in state and federal courts, handling extensive depositions, oral arguments, and trial proceedings.
Strategic Advisory: Translate complex legal risks into practical, actionable advice for sophisticated business clients.
Education: Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school with a distinguished academic record.
Licensure: Active member of the Washington State Bar (required); dual licensure in Oregon is a significant plus.
Experience: 8–12 years of relevant litigation experience within a large or boutique firm setting.
Core Requirement: Extensive first-chair experience and a proven track record of managing a case "start to finish."
Business Development: While not required, a small portable book of business is welcomed and will be supported by the firm’s national platform.
Technical Excellence: Superior research and writing skills, paired with a resilient, independent work ethic.
Salary Range: $235,000 – $250,000 (reflecting experience, licensure, and regional market demands).
Benefits: A robust and comprehensive benefits package designed to support the well-being and professional growth of our attorneys.
Work Environment: A professional, collaborative office culture that values intellectual independence and practical results.
