Litigation Legal Assistant
Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid)
Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000 DOE
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
LHH is working with well-established litigation firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to support a busy defense litigation practice. This role is ideal for a candidate who can step into an active desk, manage a high-volume workload, and contribute with minimal training. The desk will cover matters in Medical Professional Liability, Employment Litigation, Personal Injury Defense and Professional Liability Defense.
Responsibilities
- Draft, proofread, edit, and redline pleadings, correspondence, discovery, and other legal documents
- Manage attorney calendars, litigation deadlines, and case schedules
- Coordinate hearings, depositions, mediations, and client meetings
- Prepare and electronically file documents in Washington state and federal courts
- Assist with discovery, service of process, and case management
- Open and maintain client matters and organize case files
- Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and procedures
- Provide proactive support in a fast-paced litigation environment
Qualifications
- 5+ years of litigation legal assistant experience preferred
- Strong understanding of Washington state and federal court filing procedures
- Thorough knowledge of litigation deadlines, local court rules, and case management processes
- Experience supporting busy litigators with minimal supervision
- Excellent organizational, proofreading, and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and work independently
- Experience with legal document management systems is a plus
