Litigation Legal Secretary
Our client, a mid-sized law firm in San Francisco's Financial District, is seeking a Litigation Legal Secretary. This role requires strong commercial litigation experience and the ability to manage a high-volume desk with precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and litigation support to a Partner and Associates
- Draft, edit, and finalize correspondence and legal documents
- Manage court filings and e-filings (state and federal)
- Maintain and coordinate attorney calendars and deadlines
- Schedule meetings, depositions, and client communications
- Coordinate with internal departments on matter opening and closing
- Enter and edit attorney time as needed
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of commercial litigation legal secretary experience required
- Strong knowledge of state and federal court rules, procedures, and calendaring
- Advanced document formatting skills, including Tables of Contents and Authorities
- Ability to independently manage e-filing in compliance with court rules
- Strong organizational, proofreading, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage competing priorities
- Prior tenure stability in roles is highly valued
