ObjectiveThis position is responsible for providing litigation support to NFC's attorneys. NFC expects that this position will be held by a highly motivated individual who excels in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment that values top-quality work and positive contributions to the workplace.LocationHybrid – work in NFC's San Diego Office a minimum of two (2) days in‑office per week. During onboarding and training there will be a three (3) day in‑office per week requirement. Must be flexible and willing to work in person for additional days as needed for coverage and/or other business needs.HoursMonday – Friday (8:30AM – 5:00PM); limited overtime as needed.Reports toDirector of Litigation Support ServicesClassificationNon‑Exempt PositionEssential FunctionsDevelop and maintain detailed case chronologies and fact summaries.Draft and respond to written discovery (Interrogatories, Requests for Production, Requests for Admission).Prepare and serve subpoenas.Coordinate document collection, review, redaction, Bates stamping, and production.Prepare and maintain privilege logs and document indexes.Electronic discovery litigation support, including ESI document collection and storage/maintenance; perform data searches; and review, tag, redact, and prepare electronic documents for production.Assist with locating and contacting witnesses; coordinate, prepare for, and participate in witness interviews; draft witness statements and declarations; coordinate and assist with preparation of witness testimony.Prepare deposition exhibits, summaries, and witness files.Gather and organize supporting documentation for motions and court filings.Prepare mediation briefs, binders, and documentation.Compile and manage trial exhibits, trial binders, and provide on‑site trial support.Conduct legal and factual research using Westlaw and public record databases.Coordinate with clients, experts, vendors, and internal team members.Provide direction to Litigation Assistants and support team workflow efficiency.Track billable time accurately and maintain confidentiality standards.Perform additional duties as assigned, including any legal or administrative support.Skills RequiredAt least 7+ years of Paralegal experienceStrong understanding of law firm procedures and requirementsStrong understanding of relevant court rules and legal proceedingsExcellent writing, grammar and proofreading skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to think proactively, multi‑task and planHighly organizedIntermediate to advanced skills in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPointSalary Range$90k – 100kThe Firm is providing this good‑faith salary range to comply with applicable law.
