    Litigation Secretary

    Location - SF Bay Area

    Adams & Martin Group has partnered with a reputable law firm in San Francisco, CA, to find an experienced Litigation Secretary.

    Position Summary

    The role of Litigation Secretary requires a highly organized and detail-oriented professional who can adeptly manage the administrative and case-related tasks of litigation attorneys. A strong understanding of California and federal court procedures is essential.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare, format, proofread, and file litigation documents including pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence.
    • E-file documents in state and federal courts, with a focus on California courts.
    • Maintain and manage attorney calendars, ensuring all court deadlines, hearings, and depositions are accurately scheduled.
    • Coordinate filings, manage service of process, and maintain case binders and records.
    • Assist with trial preparation, including document management and exhibit preparation.
    • Handle time entry, expense reports, and billing-related tasks as needed.
    • Communicate professionally with courts, clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams.
    • Provide general administrative support to litigation attorneys as required.

    Qualifications

    • Prior experience as a litigation secretary or legal assistant in a law firm environment.
    • Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and court rules, particularly in California and federal courts.
    • Proficiency with legal document formatting and e-filing systems.
    • Experience managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent organizational, communication, and proofreading skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and legal document management systems.

    Work Hours

    Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
