About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Live-In Caregiver to provide personalized, non-medical support for the client. This role requires someone attentive, patient, and experienced in supporting clients with chronic health conditions while ensuring safety and comfort in the home.
Responsibilities
- Personal Care (ADLs): Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting while maintaining dignity and comfort.
- Mobility Support: Help with safe transfers, walking assistance, and fall prevention.
- Oxygen Safety Monitoring: Ensure oxygen equipment is functioning properly and follow safety protocols.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare heart-healthy meals according to dietary guidelines.
- Household Tasks (IADLs): Light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a clean, organized home.
- Medication Reminders: Provide timely reminders for prescribed medications (non-medical).
- Companionship: Offer emotional support, conversation, and engagement in activities.
- Errands & Transportation: Assist with shopping, appointments, and other errands as needed.
- Overnight Presence: Be available for assistance during the night if required.
Requirements
- Previous caregiving experience (professional or personal) required; experience with oxygen use preferred.
- Ability to assist with personal care and mobility.
- Knowledge of oxygen safety and emergency response protocols.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be reliable, patient, and trustworthy.
- Ability to live on-site with scheduled time off.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (preferred).
- Background check required.
