Loading Dock Assistant

One Federal Solution is seeking a Loading Dock Assistant to support our government client in Washington, DC. The selected candidate will assist with the receipt and processing of packages and deliveries, maintain accurate delivery records, and coordinate commercial vehicle parking and off-loading activities at the loading dock.

Loading Dock Assistant Job Duties

• Receive packages, shipments, and deliveries at the loading dock.
• Inspect and process incoming deliveries in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain accurate records in the receipt and deliverables system.
• Direct commercial vehicles to designated parking and loading/off-loading areas.
• Coordinate and assist with the safe and orderly off-loading of commercial deliveries.
• Ensure delivery documentation and records are complete and accurate.
• Follow all applicable facility security, safety, and operational procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Loading Dock Assistant Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Shipping/Receiving Clerk or in a comparable shipping and receiving role.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Active Secret security clearance required.

Loading Dock Assistant Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a government, federal, or secure facility.
• Experience operating in a loading dock, warehouse, shipping/receiving, or logistics environment.
• Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with delivery personnel, vendors, and government personnel.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
