Position: Full-Time Loan Administrative Assistant -- Grade 9 Location: Lakeview/Ashland Reports to: SVP & Group Lead, Commercial Lending Hours: 40 hrs. per week Summary: Provide clerical and administrative support to Executive and Branch Lending Officers by performing a variety of routine and complex assignments as follows: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Answer customer inquiries concerning loan programs offered by the Bank; provide basic loan information as summarized in loan policy. Refer customer inquiries to the appropriate lending officer to initiate the loan process. Answer customer inquiries concerning bank transactions for loans and deposits. Investigate customer transaction issues and initiate corrective action as needed. Remove collateral exceptions by obtaining final title policies, insurance certificates, and proof of real estate tax payments. Order title commitments, appraisals, EPA reports, and construction inspection reports through the Credit Department. Obtain CIP information, including LLC operating agreements, membership listings, certificates of good standing, and corporate records, on an as-needed basis. Prepare loan documentation and loan write-up sheets for lending officer approval and coordinate document production with Loan Operations. Organize final loan closing with the lending officer, customer, and title company. Maintain delinquency reports on all loans within the Branch loan portfolio; contact borrowers regarding late payments and notify the Lending Officer of any significant delinquency or collection issues. Review daily overdraft reports and deposit activity with the lending officer. Monitor borrower compliance with established covenants and controls. Interface with the Loan Operations Department to facilitate documentation preparation, underwriting, approval, loan closing, and product implementation. Ensure proper loan documentation is prepared and monitor and eliminate exceptions in a timely manner. This position may take residential loan applications. This position may offer or negotiate terms of a residential mortgage loan for compensation or gain. This position may provide general explanation, information, or descriptions in response to consumer inquiries (such as explaining terminology or lending policies). As such, this position is required to be registered with the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the terms of the SAFE Act of 2008. QUALIFICATIONS This position requires: • A good understanding of commercial loan terminology, loan closing, and title documentation • Familiarity with FISERV DNA a plus • Strong interpersonal communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management, while maintaining strict confidentiality. • Strong independent thinking, analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail and accuracy. • Excellent follow-through and follow-up skills, as well as the ability to multitask. • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in a business-related major, preferably finance, economics, or accounting, preferred. The compensation range is $46,800–$68,000, based on experience.
