Loan Officer

GreenStone Farm Credit Services is seeking a Loan Officer to serve customers throughout Michigans Upper Peninsula. In this role, youll work directly with farmers, timber producers, rural businesses, and landowners to understand their goals and connect them with financial solutions that help their operations succeed.

Day in the life of Loan Officer:

• Building Customer Relationships: As a Loan Officer you will gather financial information from customers and listen attentively to their needs. By identifying both expressed and latent needs, youll be able to provide tailored solutions or alternatives that meet their specific requirements.
• Maintaining Sales Database: Youll maintain a comprehensive sales database file, ensuring all customer interactions and transactions are accurately recorded. Additionally, youll establish ongoing prospecting plans and activities to attract new customers while nurturing existing relationships.
• Setting Sales Goals: Youll develop a commitment to individual sales goals for both loans and financial services, striving to exceed targets and contribute to the overall success of GreenStone.
• Collaborating with Specialists: Youll have the opportunity to make joint sales calls with tax, accounting, insurance, or other specialists, showcasing GreenStones wide range of financial services and exceptional customer service.
• Differentiating GreenStone: Youll differentiate GreenStone as the go-to organization for a variety of financial services, demonstrating a commitment to exceeding customer expectations in every interaction.

• Analyzing Loan Requests: Youll analyze moderately sized mortgage and commercial loan requests, either independently or with a Credit Analyst. Your detailed, accurate, and timely analysis will ensure that loan decisions align with GreenStones risk parameters and customer needs.

What Experience do you bring?

• Bachelors Degree in agriculture, business administration, finance, or related field is required
• 1+ years of experience in agriculture, agribusiness, forestry, timber, heavy equipment, financial services, business development, customer relationship management, or a closely related field required.
