Loan Setup Technician

LHH Recruiting is seeking a detail-oriented Loan Setup Technician to support the setup, maintenance, and servicing of loan and escrow accounts on a contract to hire basis with our client in Phoenix, AZ. This position is responsible for entering new accounts, reviewing and processing loan documentation, maintaining accurate electronic records, and communicating with borrowers, title companies, and other parties throughout the process.

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience within a title company, escrow company, or loan servicing environment and be comfortable working with loan-related documentation such as notes, deeds of trust, assignments, and modifications.

Key Responsibilities

Loan & Escrow Account Setup

• Set up new loan and escrow accounts within the company system.
• Review loan documentation and accurately convert information from paper documents into electronic account records.
• Enter and process assignments, loan modifications, and Successor-in-Interest changes.
• Review documents for accuracy and completeness before entering information into the system.
• Work with documents such as promissory notes, deeds of trust, and other title and servicing documentation.
• Maintain accurate electronic records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with updates and changes to existing accounts as needed.
• Manage a steady volume of new files while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
• Prioritize workload during higher-volume periods, particularly around month-end closings.

Customer Service & Communication

• Handle inbound customer service calls regarding accounts, documents, and general loan-related questions.
• Make outbound customer service calls when necessary. This position does not involve collections.
• Communicate professionally with borrowers and customers in person, by phone, through email, and via mailed correspondence.
• Communicate with title companies regarding documentation and account setup needs.
• Assist customers who may be unfamiliar with loan or escrow processes by providing clear, professional information.
• Follow up with appropriate parties when additional documentation or information is needed.

Administrative Support

• Provide general administrative support to assist with daily office operations.
• Process and distribute incoming and outgoing office mail.
• Perform occasional filing and document organization.
• Maintain organized and accurate account records.
• Balance multiple administrative responsibilities and account setup tasks while meeting established deadlines.
• Participate in ongoing training and coursework to strengthen knowledge of the title, escrow, and loan servicing industry.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of professional experience with a title company, escrow company, or loan servicing company.
• Familiarity with loan, title, escrow, or mortgage servicing documentation.
• Strong data entry skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Comfortable communicating with customers by phone, email, written correspondence, and in person.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn industry-specific software.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $23.00 per hour
