Our client, a Commerical Banking company, is looking for a Loan specialist for their Chicago, IL/Hybrid location.

Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the operational administration and servicing of commercial and consumer loans, including loan setup, maintenance, documentation review, research and transaction processing.
- No specific project assignment. The contractor will support loan servicing operations by processing loan requests received from clients. They will review documentation prepared by a partner team and use the ACBS system to set up, maintain, and create new loan notes and related documentation.

- The loan specialist will be the subject matter on creating new loan notes on the ACBS system. Responsibilities include understanding the loan request. Creating the new note for an existing client. Perform system maintenance related to new notes. Research and respond to internal client related note inquires. Miscellaneous tasks related to LOB initiatives as needed.
- The main functions of a financial analyst are to gather and analyze financial information; will typically conduct quantitative analyses of information affecting investment programs of public or private institutions. A typical financial analyst is responsible for analyzing and communicating financial information for clients.
- Assemble spreadsheets and draw charts and graphs used to illustrate technical reports.Analyze financial information to produce forecast of business, industry and economic conditions for use in making investment decisions.Interpret data affecting investment programs, such as price, yield, stability and future trends in investment risks.
Requirements:
- Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking.Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time.Basic ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.Basic knowledge of economic and accounting principles, the financial markets, and reporting of financial data.Basic knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting.Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and any other related financial software.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related financial discipline required. An advanced degree in a financial discipline is preferred.
- 0-2 years financial and/or accounting experience required.
- High school diploma or equivalent (post-secondary education is a plus)
- 1+ years' experience with loan systems such as IBS and ACBS
- 1+ years' Loan operations experience
- Previous banking industry experience
- Knowledge of AML requirements
- Previous client or Financial Industry experience
- Knowledge of ACBS system
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Strong communication skills
