We're hiring Class A CDL Truck Drivers for a local intermodal driving opportunity based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. This position offers daily home time, competitive weekly earnings, and a $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible drivers.
Drivers transport intermodal freight between rail yards and customer locations within approximately 250 miles of Harrisburg. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for consistent local work, strong activity-based compensation, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Pay & Compensation
- Average Weekly Earnings: $1,711–$1,904
- Estimated Annual Earnings: $89,000–$99,000
- Mileage Pay: $0.52–$0.57 per mile
- Sign-On Bonus: $10,000, subject to eligibility and retention requirements
- Stop Pay: $88 per stop
- Drop-and-Hook Pay: $57 per move
- Detention Pay: $23–$33 per hour after the first hour
- HazMat Load Pay: $40 per load
- Driver Loading/Unloading Pay: $45
- Driver Assist Pay: $25
- Reefer Load Pay: $40
- New Hire Training Pay: $200 per day
- Holiday Pay: $210 per eligible holiday
Additional activity-based compensation may apply for rail delays, yard checks, safety training, and other qualifying assignments.
Actual earnings depend on mileage, loads, activity pay, and assigned schedules.
Schedule & Home Time
- Home Daily
- Tuesday through Saturday schedule
- Start times generally between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM
- Shift preferences may be available based on seniority
- Approximately 1,565 miles per week
- Trucks remain at the terminal during time off
Job Responsibilities
- Transport intermodal containers between rail yards and customer locations.
- Operate within approximately a 250-mile radius of Harrisburg, PA.
- Complete approximately 2–5 loads per day.
- Perform drop-and-hook trailer movements.
- Assist with loading and unloading when required.
- Complete rail yard pickups and deliveries.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Maintain accurate delivery and transportation records.
- Follow DOT regulations and company safety procedures.
- Communicate delays, equipment issues, and delivery updates.
