Local Class A CDL Driver | Intermodal Routes

Looking for a local driving position with daily home time and strong earning potential? Join a dedicated intermodal fleet moving freight between rail yards and customer locations in Wisconsin and Illinois. 

Pay

• Average annual earnings: $80,000
• Bonus plan: $10,000
• Mileage pay: $0.50–$0.58 per mile
• Drop-and-hook pay: $47 per stop
• Cross-town moves: $25–$60 per move
• Detention pay: $20–$25 per hour
• Additional pay available for qualifying activities, including hazmat loads, live loads, and other specialized work

Schedule and Home Time

• Home daily
• Local routes operating in Wisconsin and Illinois
• Daily trips to Chicago rail yards
• Potential opportunity to transfer to a preferred shift after 6 months

Job Details

• Move freight between rail yards and customer locations
• 100% no-touch freight
• Slip-seating operation, meaning trucks are shared between drivers
• Tractors must remain at the yard during time off
• No smoking inside the truck

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 3 months of verifiable Class A CDL experience
• Hazmat endorsement required within 90 days of hire
• Reimbursement available for obtaining the Hazmat endorsement after hire, with required paperwork
• Ability to operate safely between rail yards and customer locations
