**Join Our Dynamic Team as a CT Scan Technologist!** **Job Description:** Are you ready to elevate your career in medical imaging? As a CT Scan Technologist, you will play a crucial role in providing top-notch care to patients through computer tomography procedures. Here’s what you can expect in this exciting position: - Perform complex CT procedures to deliver high-quality sectional and three-dimensional images. - Use your professional judgment to gather and document patients' clinical histories for accurate and safe procedures. - Prepare and review contrast questionnaires with patients and families, ensuring thorough communication and understanding. - Identify and administer contrast media related to CT exams as prescribed by licensed practitioners. - Verify appropriateness of exams by communicating with Radiologists and Referring Physicians. - Clarify prescriptions with physicians to ensure adherence to the highest CT protocol standards. - Interact with finance to verify insurance authorizations and expedite patient care. - Obtain outside studies and ensure accessibility in PACS for Radiologists' review. - Provide patients with copies of their exams and communicate effectively with healthcare teams. - Evaluate radiographs using PACS to confirm diagnostic value and identification. - Collect pertinent patient information to prepare tailored scanning protocols. - Ensure the patient is appropriately prepared for their procedure, using shielding and immobilization devices as needed. - Determine and administer the right type and dose of contrast for optimal imaging results. - Effectively communicate with patients, addressing questions and concerns about procedures. - Perform venipuncture and monitor for any adverse reactions during exams. - Commit to scheduled shifts, including weekends. - Adapt care based on patients’ needs while ensuring a supportive and understanding environment. - Meet physical demands: lift a minimum of 25 lbs, push/pull at least 50 lbs, and stand for a minimum of 6 hours daily. **Required Skills & Experience:** - Solid knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiological positioning. - Proficiency in CT software/hardware and PACS systems. - Maintain CEU credits and get ARRT (CT) certification within the first 12 months of hire. - Obtain American Heart Association BLS Certification within three months of hiring. **Preferred Skills & Experience:** - Six months of CT experience preferred. - Familiarity with Epic and other HIS/RIS systems is a plus. **Required Education:** - Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program with a high school diploma or equivalent. **Certifications & Licenses:** - NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License. - ARRT Certified R.T.(R) license needed. - American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
