Job Summary: The Cat Scan Technologist performs computer tomography procedures and related techniques, producing sectional and three-dimensional images for interpretation. They assist with interventional and therapeutic procedures, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
Required Qualifications:
Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and radiological positioning of the human body.
Understanding of mechanical attributes of CT software and hardware.
Thorough knowledge of PACS system.
Maintains CEU Credits.
ARRT (CT) certification within twelve months of hire.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification within three months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Six months of CT experience preferred.
Knowledge of Epic and any HIS/RIS system added by the hospital.
Required Education:
Graduate of a Radiologic Technologist program.
High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Certifications & Licensure:
ARRT certified R.T. (CT) license preferred.
Required Certifications & Licensure:
NJ DEP Diagnostic Radiography License.
ARRT Certified R.T.(R) license required.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
