Job Summary:
This position operates and prepares specialized equipment to perform magnetic imaging procedures. The MRI Technologist applies technical judgment to obtain diagnostic-quality studies according to written protocols and patient needs. Responsibilities include patient education, safety adherence, equipment maintenance, and ensuring the accuracy and timely transmission of imaging results.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong background in cross-sectional anatomy, physical sciences, and MRI physics.
• Excellent technical skills and knowledge of anatomy and physiology.
• Graduate of an AMA/J.C.E.R.T. approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• New York State License in Diagnostic Radiology.
• ARRT MRI registry certification.
• BCLS certification.

• Two years of experience in MRI.

• Adherence to infection control policies and protocols.
• Strict compliance with safety standards to prevent the introduction of ferromagnetic material into the scan room.
• Participation in professional development and in-service training.
