Position Summary
RCM Healthcare Services is hiring school-based Physical Therapists (PTs) for positions throughout all islands of Hawaii. This role involves providing physical therapy evaluations, treatment services, and educational support to students in a collaborative school-based environment.
Responsibilities
Schedule / Shift
- Shift details: Monday–Friday following school schedule
- Hours per week: Full-time and part-time opportunities available
- Contract length: ASAP – May 27, 2027
Key Duties
- Provide physical therapy assessments, evaluations, and treatment services to students
- Deliver in-person physical therapy services in accordance with IEP goals and educational plans
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students’ needs
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions manually or electronically
- Complete IEP documentation and end-of-year process reports as required
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and interdisciplinary teams regarding student progress and therapy plans
- Monitor and document students’ progress and make recommendations for ongoing therapy services
- Provide guidance and support to school staff regarding students’ physical and mobility needs
Requirements
Education
Required: Doctorate or Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
Licenses & Certifications
Preferred: Active Physical Therapist license and registration in the state of Hawaii
Skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within educational environments
- Ability to provide effective in-person physical therapy services to students
- Knowledge of IEP processes, therapy documentation, and physical therapy evaluations
- Ability to assess students’ mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and functional abilities
- Ability to manage caseloads and maintain compliance with school and state guidelines
