Job Title : Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Location: Waldorf, MD 20602

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Job Summary:

·        We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. The PTA will assist with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, rehabilitation activities, and patient education to help improve strength, mobility, balance, and overall physical function.

Responsibilities:

·        Assist the Physical Therapist with implementing patient treatment plans.

·        Provide therapeutic exercises, stretching, and mobility training.

·        Assist patients with transfers, walking, balance, and functional activities.

·        Monitor and document patient progress and response to treatment.

·        Educate patients and caregivers on exercises and safe mobility techniques.

·        Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.

·        Follow facility safety and infection-control procedures.

Qualifications:

·        Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

·        Active PTA license required.

·        CPR/BLS certification preferred or required.

·        Strong communication and patient-care skills.

·        Previous rehabilitation or healthcare experience preferred.
