Required Qualifications Current, active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Virginia, or eligibility to obtain prior to start date Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program Previous experience in outpatient orthopedics or general outpatient rehab through employment or clinical rotations Proficiency in patient care documentation within an EMR system Demonstrated ability to follow established plans of care and treatment protocols under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) or CPR certification Up-to-date vaccinations as required by state and facility policy, including current TB screening and documentation of immunization status Strong communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members Ability to safely assist and guard patients during therapeutic activities and use appropriate body mechanics for patient handling Preferred Qualifications One or more years of experience as a PTA in an outpatient rehabilitation or sports medicine setting Experience with a wide range of orthopedic diagnoses, including post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions Familiarity with treating balance, gait, and general mobility deficits in adult and older adult populations Comfort with therapeutic exercise progression, manual therapy techniques as delegated, and use of therapeutic modalities Experience working in a productivity-based environment while maintaining excellent patient care and documentation quality History of collaborating with Physical Therapists, support staff, and front office teams in a fast-paced clinic environment Prior experience with patient education on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and wellness Bilingual or multilingual communication skills External Job Details This Physical Therapist Assistant opportunity is located in King George, Virginia, a charming and historic community known for its small-town feel, scenic landscapes, and high quality of life.
