FlyLock Security Solutions – North Seattle is looking for a dependable, motivated technician to join our growing team.
We provide commercial locksmithing, door hardware, and electronic access control services to businesses throughout North Seattle and Snohomish County.
You don't necessarily need previous locksmith experience to apply. We're interested in candidates with mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. Experience in locksmithing, door hardware, construction, maintenance, electrical work, or access control is a plus.
We'll provide training to help you develop the skills needed to succeed.
What You'll Do
Every day brings different challenges as you help businesses maintain secure, functional doors and locking systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining commercial locks and door hardware.
- Rekeying locks and assisting with master key systems.
- Installing and servicing electronic access control systems and card readers.
- Troubleshooting door, lock, and hardware problems at customer locations.
- Responding to scheduled service calls and assisting with installations.
- Completing work orders and documenting completed jobs.
- Maintaining tools and equipment.
- Communicating professionally with customers and representing our company positively.
You'll have the opportunity to develop hands-on skills across commercial locksmithing, door hardware, and electronic security systems.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who is dependable, takes pride in doing quality work, and wants to develop a long-term career.
You should have:
- Mechanical aptitude and an interest in learning technical skills.
- The ability to use hand tools and work through practical problems.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- The ability to work independently as you gain experience.
- A valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work on ladders, and perform hands-on work in a variety of environments.
Experience is a plus, but we're open to training the right person.
Relevant backgrounds may include locksmithing, commercial door installation, construction, building maintenance, facilities maintenance, electrical work, or other mechanical trades.
Pay, Training & Career Growth
- $26–$34 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:
- AAADM certification or experience with automatic door installation, inspection, or service.
- Washington State 06 low-voltage electrical license.
- Experience with commercial door hardware, locksmithing, access control systems, or related mechanical trades.

Where You'll Work
You'll serve commercial customers throughout North Seattle and Snohomish County, including Shoreline, Lake Forest Park, Mountlake Terrace, Edmonds, Lynnwood, Bothell, Mill Creek, Mukilteo, Everett, and surrounding communities.
This is a hands-on field position that involves traveling to customer locations and working both indoors and outdoors.
