Locum - Nurse Practitioner - Oncology Greenville, SC

Key Responsibilities include managing patient care in both outpatient and inpatient settings, specializing in hematology and oncology cases, overseeing blood bank activities, ordering diagnostic tests and imaging, and prescribing chemotherapy under the guidance of a Nurse Oncologist. You will provide first-line telephonic and hospital call support, perform inpatient rounding on weekends, and collaborate with a skilled team dedicated to delivering exceptional cancer care.
Required Skills:
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license in South Carolina
- Proven experience in oncology, hematology, or related fields
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
- Excellent communication and patient management abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience managing bone marrow transplants
- Knowledge of blood bank procedures
- Prior experience in a cancer center setting
- Certification in chemotherapy administration or advanced oncology courses
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Masters Degree in Nursing (MSN or higher)
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in oncology or hematology
- Prior locum or temporary staffing experience is advantageous
Other Requirements:
- Credentialing approval within approximately 60 days
- Availability to work scheduled call rotations, inpatient rounding on weekends
- Travel reimbursement for flights, hotels, rental cars, and mileage, billed at IRS standard rates
