Locums Pediatric Hospitalist

Rate: $2,100 6-8 hours clinical work, night call

Schedule: 24-hour beeper call (6:00 AM-6:00 AM)

Opportunity Details

• Inpatient call-only coverage
• Immediate need for neonatal coverage
• Care for newborns and NICU patients 32 weeks gestation and above
• Responsibilities include newborn resuscitation, stabilization, and management of premature infants
• Travel, lodging, and malpractice coverage provided

Required Skills

• Neonatal airway management and intubation
• Newborn resuscitation (NRP required)
• UVC/UAC placement
• Emergent UVC placement in the delivery room
• Needle decompression for neonatal pneumothorax
• Lumbar puncture
• EKG interpretation

Preferred Skills

• Ventilator management
• Neonatal chest tube placement

Requirements

• Active California medical license
• Active DEA
• Board Certified or Board Eligible (within 3-5 years)
• Pediatric Hospitalist with strong neonatal experience or Neonatologist
