Logistics Coordinator

Pay: $19 – $21 per hour

Location: Near West Moreland, NY (on site)

Employment Type: Full-Time

The Opportunity

Our client is looking for a detail-minded, organized person to keep its warehouse running smoothly. You'll be the one who receives, checks, tags, and tracks the machines and parts that come through the door, and who gets outgoing orders and returns packed and on their way. It's an active, hands-on role that suits someone who likes order, accuracy, and the satisfaction of a tidy, well-run operation.

What You'll Do

Receiving and Inspection

• Sign for deliveries after checking contents against packing slips, and unload trucks
• Open and inspect shipments, and alert purchasing to any damaged or incorrect items
• Enter equipment and accessories into the system, assigning serial numbers and ID tags
• Unbox and set up machines as needed

Storage, Inventory, and Records

• Move, store, and organize equipment and accessories using dollies, forklifts, and other handling equipment
• Complete inventory counts and submit count sheets to accounting, and help with supply and parts counts when asked
• Keep logistics records accurate and the warehouse clean, with cardboard and trash cleared daily

Shipping and Returns

• Confirm delivery times with carriers and let purchasing know about delays
• Verify that the right machines are loaded on outgoing sales deliveries and help load parcel carrier trucks
• Check incoming equipment returns and place them properly
• Wrap and prepare leased equipment for return, and schedule carrier pickups
• Help deliver equipment to customers when needed

Team Support

• Serve as backup for the supply logistics and purchasing roles, and assist with equipment ordering

What You Bring

• 3–5 years of logistics, inventory, or general warehouse experience, and/or an associate degree in business administration or supply chain management
• Working knowledge of inventory and logistics practices
• Computer skills for data entry and record keeping, including Microsoft Excel
• Experience with logistics or order-processing software (ERP)
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and prioritization abilities
• An organized, process-minded approach and sharp attention to detail
• A knack for spotting ways to improve how things get done
• Clear communication and a team-first attitude

Work Setting

• Warehouse environment, with regular lifting and use of forklifts and hand trucks
