Job Overview:

The Logistics & Transportation Manager North America is responsible for managing all aspects of

Mubeas logistics and transportation, from planning and budgeting to vendor selection and shipment

tracking. Scope includes inbound and outbound freight, both domestic and international, importation

and interface with brokers as well as leading free trade agreement (FTA) process for North America

Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

Planning and Strategy:

o Develop and implement effective logistics and transportation plans for the North

America business units to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and meet delivery

deadlines.

o Analyze historical data and industry trends to identify opportunities for improvement in

processes and procedures.

o Negotiate contracts with transportation vendors and secure competitive rates for

various shipping modes.

o Manage and monitor transportation budgets, ensuring cost control and adherence to

company financial guidelines.

Operations and Execution:

o Oversee the daily operation of the logistics department, including carrier selection, and

route optimization.

o Monitor shipment progress in real-time using tracking systems and address any

potential delays or issues proactively.

o Manage relationships with operations personnel, carriers, and other stakeholders to

ensure seamless coordination throughout the supply chain.

o Ensure compliance with all relevant shipping regulations and safety protocols.

Performance Management and Improvement:

o Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery rates, transportation

costs, and inventory levels.

o Identify areas for improvement within logistics operations and implement corrective

actions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

o Develop and implement new technologies and solutions to optimize logistical processes

and gain a competitive edge.

o Prepare reports and presentations for senior management, providing insights into

logistics performance and potential areas for optimization.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related

field, with at least 5 years of experience in a logistics or transportation management role.

Proven track record of success in planning, implementing, and optimizing logistics and

transportation operations.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address logistical

challenges effectively.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships

with internal and external stakeholders.

Proficient in logistics software and technologies, incl. transportation management systems.

Strong understanding of relevant shipping regulations and compliance requirements.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Experience in automotive manufacturing and /or engineering and sales driven business.

Experience working in a Germany based (international) organization.

Bilingual German/Spanish a plus.
