Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking a Logistics Specialist for a new opportunity with our client in Greensboro. The Logistics Specialist supports daily transportation and supply chain operations by coordinating shipments, maintaining accurate data, and providing exceptional customer service to customers, carriers, and suppliers. This role is responsible for managing shipment activities, resolving operational issues, ensuring timely communication, and supporting efficiency, cost-savings, and service goals. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate day-to-day shipping and receiving activities.Schedule appointments and manage shipment-related communications.Enter and maintain accurate shipment and operational data.Monitor shipments and provide timely status updates.Resolve transportation and service issues to support on-time performance.Audit shipment information for accuracy and compliance.Respond promptly to customer, carrier, and supplier inquiries.Support continuous process improvement initiatives and operational goals.Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, carriers, suppliers, and internal teams.Contribute to customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and cost-efficiency objectives.QualificationsStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.High attention to detail and accuracy.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and web-based applications.Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.Ability to work independently and collaboratively.Customer-focused with excellent relationship-building skills.Experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, operations, or a related field is preferred.
