DPP is seeking a Logistics Specialist III for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
 
Work Location: Onsite in Parker, CO
Duration: 12 months
Terms: W2 Contract
Work Authorization: US Citizen; must be able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance
 
Position Summary:
  • As a Logistics Specialist III, you prepare our logistics documentation to assist in establishing the pipeline for spares, tools, test equipment, materials, and related manuals needed are available to be deployed and stocked.
  • You'll be responsible for routing, documenting, and coordinating shipping logistics, maintaining our records of equipment, components, repair parts and related manuals, and tracking logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of our storage facilities.
  • You'll ensure shipping activities adhere to state, federal, and global regulations and import/export requirements.
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for tracking, reconciling, and maintaining auditable property records for military equipment, parts, and supplies. This involves ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all records and supporting accountability throughout the property lifecycle.
  • Skilled in inputting, updating, and managing inventory logs, stock records, and asset lifecycle data within defense databases. This ensures that all inventory movements and asset changes are systematically documented and easily accessible for review.
  • Conducts audits of physical documents against digital records, investigates discrepancies, and reviews inventory adjustment packages. This process helps maintain accurate records and resolve any inconsistencies between physical and electronic documentation.
  • Processes shipping, receiving, transfers, and issues documents for new parts, new equipment, and repair parts/equipment. This supports the efficient movement of materials and ensures that all transactions are properly documented.
  • Supports federal property accountability reviews and audits, maintaining inventory data and compliance records in strict adherence to military aviation standards. Ensures that all processes meet regulatory requirements and contribute to overall organizational integrity.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel capabilities for tracking and reporting. Maintains a high level of attention to detail in all documentation and data management tasks.
  • Scans, converts, organizes, and archives physical paper maintenance files into secure electronic data management systems. This facilitates easy retrieval and long-term preservation of maintenance records.
  • Research, identify, and resolve documentation errors, missing forms, or technical data discrepancies in collaboration with maintenance control and quality assurance teams.
  • Analyze engineering source data to load, update, and maintain parts records that maintenance personnel use to modify, support, and sustain aircraft.
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 4 or more years of relevant experience. A higher-level degree may substitute for experience. Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
  • Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
  • Understanding and experience with the practical application of Inventory and Supply Chain/Logistics principles and techniques.
  • Progressive experience with inventory databases.
  • Proficient in government and military logistics databases as well as automated supply systems, including but not limited to BSI, AVPRO, ILS-S, PBUSE, FEDLOG, GCSS-Army, or similar Accountable Property Systems of Record. This expertise enables efficient tracking and management of military property and supplies.
  • Experienced with Fedlog, WebFlis, ERRC Codes, Demilitarization Codes, National Stock Number field (NSN), and Federal Supply Class (FSC).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with AvPro or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems.
  • HazMat Training/Certification.
  • Ability to operate a Forklift.
  • Experience with shipping databases, such as FedEx, DHL, UPS.
  • Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and clean driving record.
  • Understanding of Shelf-Life
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
Physical/Mental/Emotional Requirements:
  • Frequently walk, sit, stand, climb stairs and steps.
  • Frequently repeat same hand, arm, and finger motion many times to include finger and hand dexterity.
  • Frequently requires vision abilities to include close, distance, depth perception, and telling the difference between colors.
  • Occasionally requires hearing abilities to include discerning different tones and volumes.
  • Frequently lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs.
Working Conditions:
  • Occasionally exposed to outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain/snow, etc.)
  • Rarely exposed to fumes or hazardous chemicals/materials.
  • Occasionally exposed to loud noises.
  • Safety Sensitive Position: Responsible for the safety and security of people or property. Inspects, handles or transports explosives, dangerous or hazardous materials. Inspects structures, equipment or vehicles. Performs aviation related duties. Operate or supervise vehicles, heavy or dangerous equipment or machinery.
