Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented technical professional to support military equipment documentation, maintenance analysis, and integrated logistics support. This role involves developing and updating maintenance procedures, analyzing engineering drawings and technical data packages, and maintaining logistics support documentation for combat vehicles. The ideal candidate can interpret technical information, work with military maintenance documentation, and ensure deliverables align with applicable military standards and customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop operator and maintenance procedures using engineering models, drawings, schematics, work instructions, vendor data, and legacy documentation.
- Enter maintenance task data, support materiel requirements, and common and special tool information into PowerLog-J or SLICwave in accordance with applicable military standards.
- Develop and update troubleshooting logic trees, Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS), and Battle Damage Assessment and Repair (BDAR) information.
- Review and mark up technical publication work packages in accordance with MIL-STD-40051.
- Incorporate configuration changes resulting from design and manufacturing discrepancies and test incident reports.
- Develop, maintain, and update Maintenance Allocation Charts (MAC) and Task Analysis Summaries for combat vehicles.
- Analyze technical data packages to assess maintenance and logistics usability, and create, track, and manage problem reports.
- Support the development of Repair Parts and Special Tools Lists (RPSTL) and Preventive Maintenance Requirements (PMR) documentation.
- Work with National Stock Numbers (NSNs), Source, Maintenance, and Recoverability (SMR) codes, and relevant logistics data resources.
- Identify illustration requirements and recommend Logistics Management Information (LMI) styles and formats in accordance with customer requirements and military specifications.
- Review workflow charts, reconcile and track Earned Value metrics, and support Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables.
- Participate in technical reviews, validation and verification activities, logistics demonstrations, and in-process reviews.
- Coordinate technical, supply, and logistics support information to help maintain sustainable military equipment support.
Required Qualifications
- At least 4 years of relevant experience with a high school diploma, or at least 2 years of relevant experience with an associate degree.
- Ability to read, interpret, and redline engineering drawings and schematics.
- Experience with military technical manuals, parts manuals, maintenance requirements, or related technical documentation.
- General knowledge of military part and stock numbering systems, such as NSN and SMR codes, or resources such as Web FLIS, PubLog, or IHS Haystack.
- Familiarity with applicable military standards and regulations, including MIL-STD-40051, GEIA-STD-0007, MIL-STD-1388-series requirements, and relevant Army maintenance regulations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, relational databases, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and document markup tools.
- Ability to support technical reviews, documentation validation, and logistics support activities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience influencing logistics design or developing equipment support requirements.
- Familiarity with IADS, EMSNG publishing tools, or Creo model-viewing tools.
- Experience with equipment support requirement forecasting, LIW, SKO, ULLS, Modified Work Orders, or depot facilities.
