Logistics Technician

Pay Rate: Up to $25.00 per hour

Summary:

• Location: Fremont, CA
• Duration: 6 Months

Responsibilities:

• Maintain high performance for departmental standards including safety, timeliness, quality/accuracy, security, and productivity.
• Receive shipments, transfer materials to and from storage locations, and package and palletize products.
• Work proactively on multiple tasks with autonomy.
• Operate a forklift to load and unload carrier trucks.
• Load and unload sea containers in line with IMO, IMDG, and Customs requirements.
• Prepare cylinders for shipments, ensuring compliance with D.O.T requirements.
• Perform shipping and receiving related ERP transactions.
• Maintain inventory control records and conduct inventory cycle counts.
• Participate in monthly safety meetings and promote a safe work environment.
• Comply with all company safety policies and OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience in logistics operations.
• Must be certified to drive a forklift.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in filing IMO, AES, and ISF.
• Computer literate with experience using Microsoft Office and Google Docs.
• Knowledge of 49 CFR, 15 CFR, DOT, IATA, and IMDG regulations.
