Description

Summary:

  • Location: Fremont, CA
  • Duration: 12 Months
  • Work Mode: Onsite

Responsibilities:

  • Drive a culture of "Do It Safe, Do It Right the First Time" with daily actions and words.
  • Observe work area(s) for unsafe behaviors and conditions; report hazards to supervisor.
  • Adhere to all safety policies, including HAZWOPER, ECP, and LOTO policies.
  • Participate in monthly safety meetings and promote a safe work environment.
  • Operate assigned tasks safely and efficiently to meet team productivity goals.
  • Follow all work processes and instructions relevant to specific assignments.
  • Prepare cylinders for shipments according to company and D.O.T requirements.
  • Perform shipping and receiving related ERP transactions accurately.
  • Prepare shipping paperwork according to company policy and D.O.T regulations.
  • Coordinate delivery and pickup of cylinders and other materials with common carriers and company locations.
  • Ship, receive, and deliver supplies, materials, and equipment.
  • Operate a forklift to load and unload carrier trucks.
  • Load and unload sea containers in line with IMO, IMDG, and Customs requirements.
  • Maintain inventory control records and conduct inventory cycle counts.
  • Escalate any potential safety or quality concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
  • Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
  • Comply with all company safety policies and OSHA and MSDS Standards.
  • Successfully complete all assigned trainings.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience in logistics operations.
  • Certification to drive a forklift.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to follow all work instructions and safety protocols.
  • Understanding of the properties and hazards associated with chemicals and compressed gases.
  • Experience in filing IMO, AES, and ISF.
  • Quick learner with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Organized with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Computer literate with experience using Microsoft Office and Google Docs.
  • Knowledge of 49 CFR, 15 CFR, DOT, IATA, and IMDG regulations.

Physical Qualifications:

  • Ability to move around a large warehouse for 8 or more hours in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to climb ladders and have significant manual dexterity for keying in data.
  • Ability to medically pass a respiratory test and physical test to wear a full-face respirator as required.
