LONG TERM SUBSTITUTE

Elementary Physical Education Teacher

Memorial School/Toy Town Elementary

Memorial School & Toy Town Elementary are seeking a temporary Long Term Substitute Elementary Physical Education Teacher, beginning on or about November 30 and lasting approximately 8 to 12 weeks. Ideal candidates are organized, creative and effective communicators who foster a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.

The teacher will provide developmentally appropriate physical education instruction that promotes movement skills, physical fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship and healthy habits. This position will work collaboratively with elementary school staff to support students of varying abilities and learning needs. This is a temporary, per diem position.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or a related field preferred
• Massachusetts teaching certification in Physical Education
• Ability to plan and lead engaging, age-appropriate physical activities
• Strong classroom management skills and commitment to student safety
• Ability to adapt instruction and activities to meet diverse student needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in working with elementary students and their families
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team

Salary: $270/day Certified Teacher

$200/day Bachelor''s Degree
