Ascension Lutheran Early Childhood Center (ALECC) is looking for a warm, nurturing, and dependable Infant Teacher to join our team as a temporary, long-term substitute covering a leave of absence. This position will begin around October 2026 and will continue through approximately March 2027.This is a seasonal, part-time non-exempt position for approximately 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
Our Infant Teachers play an important role in creating a safe, loving, and engaging environment where our youngest children can learn, grow, and feel secure. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with infants and understands the importance of responsive, attentive care during these early years.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing loving, attentive, and developmentally appropriate care for infants
- Creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment
- Following individual feeding, sleeping, and care routines
- Supporting infants’ social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Communicating regularly and positively with families
- Working collaboratively with co-teachers and other members of our teaching team
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
- Following all ALECC policies, procedures, and licensing requirements
