Los Angeles - Operations Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations for the branch’s air, ocean, and road freight activity, making sure shipments move on time, on budget, and in line with customer requirements.
• Lead, train, and develop a team of operations coordinators and specialists, setting clear priorities and holding the team accountable for service quality and productivity.
• Monitor operational KPIs such as on-time performance, shipment profitability, and exception rates, and put process improvements in place where results fall short.
• Work with carriers, agents, customs brokers, and warehouse partners to secure capacity, resolve service issues, and keep vendor performance where it needs to be.
• Ensure compliance with CBP, TSA, FMC, and other applicable regulations, along with internal quality standards and customer contract terms.
• Partner with sales and customer service to onboard new accounts, plan solutions for complex or project shipments, and keep key customers informed and satisfied.
• Coordinate with overseas offices and the wider global network to keep handoffs between origin and destination running smoothly.
