Position Highlights:

  • Position: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - 2N Progressive Care Unit
  • Salary: Hourly rate based on years of nursing experience/education
  • Work Life Balance: Full-Time (3 shifts/week) | Night Shift; Every third weekend rotation
  • Patient Ratio: 1:3-4 for PCU and 1:5-6 for Med Surg

What You'll Do

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) performs a wide variety of patient care activities for assigned hospital patients, participates in the multi-disciplinary process of providing care and treatment to patients and provides clinical support and technical assistance to the professional medical and other staff as directed by the Registered Nurse. The LPN provides direct patient care to individuals and performs patient observation, data collection related to patient care, administers medication, treatment and procedures, implements the plan of nursing care and communicates findings to the supervising RN to achieve optimal outcomes for patients. The LPN is responsible for functioning within the scope of practice dictated by the authority of the Ohio Board of Nursing.

Required Educational Degree: Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program; RN degree required within 3 years of hire.

Required Certifications, Credentials, and Licenses: Current LPN licensure in the State of Ohio; Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association; Current state IV Certification upon hire or within three month of hire/transfer; Code Violet (CPI) All Inpatient course Biennially.
