Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Local Contract

Location: Albuquerque, New Mexico
Schedule: Day Shift | 36 Hours Guaranteed | 5 Weeks
Shift Timing: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (30-minute meal break)
Working Days: Sunday, Monday, Friday
Job Type: Local Contract (Non-Travel) | New Opening


Job Summary

A skilled nursing facility in Albuquerque, New Mexico is seeking an experienced LPN for a 5-week local contract assignment. The role involves providing direct patient care in a long-term care setting, supporting residents’ clinical needs, and ensuring safe, high-quality nursing care.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to residents under RN supervision
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and vital signs
  • Support patient care plans and clinical interventions
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
  • Ensure patient safety, comfort, and dignity at all times
  • Communicate patient condition changes to nursing staff
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation
  • Follow infection control and facility safety protocols
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams

Required Qualifications

  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required
  • Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
  • Strong medication administration and clinical skills required
  • Ability to monitor and document patient conditions required
  • Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures required
  • Strong communication and documentation skills required
  • Ability to work in a structured healthcare environment required
