Hiring: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Orthopedic Practice

Fresh Meadows, Queens, NY
Pay: Up to $41/hour
Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:15 PM
Must have flexibility to stay until approximately 5:00 PM when needed.

We are seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide coverage for an employee currently on leave. The exact length of the assignment is not yet known, so candidates should be comfortable with an open-ended temporary assignment.

Orthopedic experience is a plus, but NOT required! The practice is willing to train an experienced LPN on orthopedic-specific responsibilities, including how to administer steroid injections and other duties related to orthopedic patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on nursing and clinical support
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• Obtain and document vital signs and medical histories
• Administer medications and injections as directed
• Assist providers with orthopedic procedures and treatments
• Learn orthopedic-specific clinical duties and workflows
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in the EMR
• Provide patient education and follow-up instructions
• Support the clinical team in a busy outpatient environment

Qualifications:

• Current New York State LPN license
• Strong clinical and patient care skills
• Orthopedic experience preferred, but not required
• Willingness to learn orthopedic procedures and responsibilities
• Dependable, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced practice
• Flexibility to stay until approximately 5:00 PM when necessary
