    Job Summary

    Southern Industrial Constructors seeks Maintenance Lube Oil Tech for an on-going site in the Wilmington, NC area - the site has access to customer cafeteria and food services and is in a controlled environment. This role is for an on-going assignment. Hired candidates will be considered for Benefits/Paid Time Off after 3-months.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    Check and maintain appropriate oil levels in machines.

    Respond to oil/coolant leaks.

    Transfer Oil/Coolant to drums, remove excessive oil /coolant around machines.

    Assist GE maintenance with PM's and work orders.

    Triple rinse, crush and dispose of empty oil drums.

    Replace air filters on machine motors.

    Inspect, document, and release storm water.

    Must have the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.

    Safely load products onto freight carrier vehicles.

    Operate fork lift and other material handling equipment.

    Understand and follow verbal and written directions.

    Able and willing to work in manufacturing environment for minimum of 8 hours per day.

    Must be willing to work overtime as needed.

    Must have the ability to balance multiple tasks/priorities.

    A valid driver's license is required.

    Skilled in both written and verbal communication.

    Complete all Safety and general job training as required by SIC.

    Observes SIC/Client Safety processes and procedures at all times

    Physical Demands

    As required, perform safety inspections of work area, equipment and tools, in accordance with SIC policy to ensure compliance with government regulations, customer requirements, and SIC's safety program.

    Conditions include working in office, shop, busy traffic areas, warehouses, and undeveloped properties, with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and adverse weather conditions.

    Must be able to safely access all areas of property, buildings, structures, as well as confined spaces.

    Must be able to effectively use all required PPE equipment and lift up to fifty pounds.

    Strenuous physical demands are required to safely perform the essential functions associated with this position.

    Must be able to safely operate all involved equipment and tools.

    Must be capable of standing for long periods of time, bending consistently, working in confined spaces with limited access, on ladders, and working in awkward body positions.
