About the Role:Angels of Assisi in Roanoke, VA is looking for a passionate Lunch Chef to join our team! This is a wonderful opportunity to bring your culinary skills to a meaningful organization, and help our hard working staff stay fed and hydrated.
Responsibilities:- Prepare and execute daily vegetarian lunch service with consistency, quality, and care
- Manage food prep for hot and cold bar,
- Recipe book provided
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen in compliance with health and safety standards
- Monitor food inventory, minimize waste, and assist with ordering supplies as needed
- Hours 10:30am - 1:30pm, no weekends or holidays
- Additional hours may be available for other duties, optional
Requirements:- Prior experience as a line cook, prep cook, or chef in a professional kitchen setting
- Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain a consistent morning/midday schedule
